My Kids are Too Smart!!!
I have been so busy getting things unpacked, and jerking around on Face Book, that I haven't had much time to post here, but a couple of things happened that I just had to share in this format. about a week ago, Zoe was asking Nana about this house, how it was Nana's house, but was it Zoe's house. well, Eddie looks up from his truck, thumps his fist on his chest and says, "Me house!" he already knows that it's his house!! plus, it was a two word sentence from a boy who would grunt and point just a month ago!! Nana and I are careful to always say go _home_ instead of _to nana's house_ and he gets it, but she's still working on it.
then, Sunday we were in the car on the way to drop them off with barb, and we're listening to a song that says stuff like have you ever seen a shoe box? simple puns... very cute. well Nana asks me to come up with one, and I think a minute and say a Tree Bark, Then Zoe pipes up from the back seat, a tooth brush! I think mom and I stared at each other for a moment, before we both said, "what did she say?" we were so surprised that at 2 1/2 Zoe could pun, we could barely remember to say, "yes, very good" to her! and not just a pun, but a better one than I could come up with, and I'm the mommy!!
