Surprise Free Day!
Apparently the barn lost power this morning shortly before 7am, so we didn't get to ride today. We were told to hand-walk our horse for 15 minutes, instead, and of course it was pouring down rain. I am a bit torn between being happy and being bummed. My horse for today was supposed to be Chester, who is incredibly lazy and pretends to spook at everything. Thanks to his laziness, his spooks are more an annoyance than anything else. However, he has nice a nice trot when you get him going, which gives me a chance to work on some things I need to improve.
The power was still out at 11, so my second class was cancelled, as well. It was nice having an unexpected day off. I was productive and got some things done. At 9:30 I went to an event called The Soap Box where people can read their poetry, share artwork, sing, and some even danced. I was a fun evening, and I went to support a few friends who performed.
Overall, it was an uneventful, but nice day. Not much else to say.
