I used to watch them all the time years and years ago. My favorite was My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, but IRIS was a close second (I adored TOP at the time, and he is a main character). I also secretly loved Pororo. It is a toddler show, but the language was really basic, making it pretty helpful for picking up little grammar bits and learning to recognize words. I might have to rewatch it. Plus, it is pretty adorable, I can't lie. I have looked into some of the shows that have come out in the last few years, but nothing has really stuck out as "I really want to watch that!" I do have to say, though, it's nice to see more variety than there used to be. I feel like every other Kdrama used to be the "girl pretends to be a guy, and them the male lead falls for her", and it got very played out. My friends and I used to watch some Taiwanese shows, too. My favorite by far was Bull Fighting, but Devil Beside You was cute and I loved the soundtrack.

I love Mandarin <3 Now and always. I don't know what it is, but I really love it, and I picked it up really quickly. I started learning on my own in high school and after I graduated I tested out of just about every level my college offered. My professor had me helping with her classes and was letting me do independent study, until the department head didn't feel like doing the paperwork anymore and cut me off. It's beena few years since I studied, though, and I feel like most of what I knew I have already forgotten. I don't know any Cantonese, but I always thought it would be interesting to learn and compare dialects.

I only tried to watch a couple of Korean dramas. My wife is big into Taiwanese and (lesser) Chinese dramas.

And I'm sure "formal" Cantonese would crush me since I can't do tones and apparently Cantonese has MORE tones than Mandarin! But it's super cool that you're such a multi-lingual person!
