Author's note: Connected to the S-CONSCIOUS series. Starts soon after Gackt left Mizer. This will be more fluffy, and less angsty, I hope. I need my faves to be happier. I don't know how long this series will be, bear with me, I need something lovey-dovey right now but the entirety of the series is yet to be determined. The first chapter is quite short, sorry. Enjoy!
Together with Közi and Yu~ki, Mana had taken the band i a new direction. They had closed ranks, once again redefining the group with the help of a new singer giving them a new sound and new image. Klaha had been welcomed with open arms. He was kind and polite, showing utmost professional courtesy and simply just slid into the position of singer without much demands to steer the band in any direction. It felt natural to have Klaha as their singer. It suited Mana just fine. Him and Közi were after all the leaders of the band, it was their vision. And they didn't need any more drama, not after all that had happened with Gackt.
Malice Mizer was looking forward, and so did the guitarists. They had finally, after eight months after Gackt's leaving, found a relationship that was strong and that worked for them.
Light which peeked through the morning mist tells of the end of the eternal night,

So sweet, Közi thought, as he read the notes handed to him by Mana. He looked up at his lover, smiling, knowing somehow that the lyrics were meant for him. The other returned the smile earnestly. A smile so precious.
”Do you like it?” Mana asked ”I thought you could help me with the instrumentals”
”It's wonderful” he replied ”I'll do my best to do it justice”
They rarely were physical with eachother during working hours, being professionals, but their smiles and looks of affection were hard to miss if you knew the pair. And the adoring look on Közi's face as he looked upon Mana was unmistakingly that one of love.

Together, they arranged the instruments just right. Light, sweet, melodic. It was a much more innocent, sweet sound than usual. But it fit with their new vocalist, it fit to change into a new era of Malice Mizer. More hopeful, I suppose you could say. And the fans would welcome it. An image of pure white innocence, of sweet, sweet love.

Later that night, Mana cuddled closer into Közi's embrace, nuzzling his neck, whispering sweet nothings into his ear. And Közi knew now, they would be okay. No matter what happened in the outside world, he would be just fine, with Mana at his side. He pulled the other closer, pressing kisses on top of his head. It felt so comfortable, it felt so right. It had taken them time to reach this point, but now nothing could tear them apart, that was what he knew deep down.
Malice Mizer was changing, but their relationship would not.
