For some reason, he's expecting a happy birthday or two to surface, but he's content with just reading whatever the heck he stumbles upon while skimming.

[She's currently on her way to greet him because there's no way Hinata will ever forget this date. The first thing she did after quietly and neatly going through her daily routines is to go out of her apartment room and find the birthday boy. Thundering heartbeats echo within her as she takes the stairs to where his room is. What should she do? Is this handmade handkerchief with his name on it an enough gift? Maybe she should have planned a party like what Ino did for Shikamaru, but. Won't it be too much? She doesn't know all his friends here, too. What if she just makes it worse and--

[But then, a cat came jumping out of nowhere and so did Naruto! Hinata's caught completely off guard that she almost loses balance. What's happening?]

[Nothing says a nice, rainy day like a pleasurable walk in the rain with an umbrella in tow. Granted, he's not holding the umbrella, as that task's assigned to the Aipom chilling on his shoulders.

...Completely unaware of the impending doom of that cat as it charges at him.]

[Dude, you are in that cat's warpath in escaping from Naruto. It will definitely try to use Gold as a scratching post and something to jump over. The rain totally isn't helping the cat's anxiety.

All while Naruto is chasing that thing in the distance. He's really far back.] YOU DAMNED CAT!

[It's a good thing Naruto yelled for that cat, as it alerts Gold to its presence, and he narrowly leaps to the side to avoid being clawed to death.

He blankly stares at the cat as it runs away, and then at Naruto, who's chasing and yelling at the cat.]

[...And now he's annoyed at that cat, for nearly tearing him to shreds! Time to join in the chase!]

HEY! Get back here, you mangy cat!

[It doesn't really matter if it's raining or snowing because Seto will always be outside just wandering around. Honestly he could care less if he gets drenched....but he has an umbrella anyways. And on his walk he spots a cat dart by him so he blinks and turns around, totally not noticing the person chasing the ball of fuzz]

...Is he homeless? He shouldn't be outside in the rain, poor kitty... [AND SO NOW HE CHASES AFTER IT though not as fast and determined to grab it as Naruto]

Oi, oi! Don't let that cat get away! [Says the guy who is covered in cat scratches and running to catch up with Seto.]

[Gambit is finally getting too bored to stay cooped up in his apartment anymore. What he isn't expecting upon opening his door, though, is for a cat to zoom past his ankles and into the apartment.

He may not spot you at first, Naruto. He's peering back into his apartment with a quirked eyebrow, wondering where the hell this cat came from.]

[See, if Naruto were more polite, he would ask for access to the apartment before trying to catch the cat that he accidentally let loose upon the world. But he's not that polite and is pretty pissed at that mangy animal. So he might actually... y'know... shove him way right into Gambit.]

OUTTA THE WAY!

[Okay, what. First the cat, now this kid. And if Gambit were more polite, he might step out of the way. But he's not either, and to boot, he doesn't want any strangers in his apartment. You shall not pass, Naruto.

Gambit calmly holds his ground until the very last second and then... steps aside, but puts a foot into Naruto's path to trip him.]

[Which is where Naruto would promptly trip over, but he's so focused on not getting outplayed by that cat that he'll catch himself on his hands instead of faceplanting.

Ever so barely.] Oi! What was that for!?

[ As the cat quickly scurries about, it should be stopped in its tracks by one Kunai being flug inches in front of its path. It takes Tenten a moment to study and recognize the pet, but once she does, she just groans. ]

Is it really that fucking cat? [ She just mentioned him a couple of days ago to Kiba. Oh the irony.

She's just looking at the cat bewildered and interested. She knew if she saw the feline again it'd be too soon. ]

[Yeah, a kunai is more than enough to stop the cat in its tracks as if it nearly just ran into a kunai and died. But this is clearly only true until it finds an opening to get the hell outta there and away from Tenten.

Which might come sooner than later when Naruto is running from where Tora ran from, yelling things and not realizing that the cat was stopped in its tracks.] YOU'RE GONNA REGRET WHAT YOU DID WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU!

[Oh, hey, is that Tenten.]
