[Night time is the best time to sneak around, and Naruto didn't want Sasuke to find him in his body. So, this late in the night he's going to be sneaking through the town, though just by running from corner to corner of buildings. It's totally suspicious.

Or for him to know he was going for ramen, and he sure as hell has no idea where Sasuke is, even if it's Naruto's body. The logical thing would've been to go to his apartment a few days ago and just wait it out, but with Naruto, logic isn't always there in these kind of situations.
