A Whirlwind of Emotion.
I think my head might explode. I have an anthropological theory essay due on Friday that I haven't started, and I have a midterm in Structure & Symbolism on Thursday, which will be difficult because Yengoyan makes no sense whatsoever. I still really like him though, because he is hilarious and quite possibly the best thesis advisor I could have asked for from UCD.
Nourish International is stressing me out. It's difficult managing everything for it, and we just had our International Projects Committee meeting tonight. We went over several database projects and independent projects, narrowing our Summer 2009 Project down to the top 10 choices. I really hope my proposal to go to South Africa to help with a nutrition project for kids 0-5 through Cotlands pulls through. I'm hoping as the Co-Director I have the most heavily-weighted say in the decision making process. It might be difficult to sway the whole track team.
Last night was strange. I went over to Matt, Ivan, and Evan's and hung out with Evan all night. Except at like 2am, Ivan comes home severely drunk. He starts goin off about how roommates need to communicate, and how his girlfriend Chelsea doesn't understand how hard he tries to please her. Relationships. He left shortly after, and Evan couldn't stop him from driving away. It made me think of Lauren's sister and how she was killed by a drunk driver, and I couldn't sleep.
Ivan came back shortly afterwards though, with Chelsea. He did coke I think, because he was having a bad reaction and Chelsea was freaking out all night. She put him in the bathtub and he splashed around in his boxers. Drugs are bad, they change people.
I got no sleep last night. Bad, considering the workload I have for this week. I love being productive, but not when I'm forced to be. I want my free time back. I want a massage this weekend, because dammit, I deserve one. I have been busting my ass this whole quarter, and mark my words I'm getting one soon whether I can afford it or not.
