Lawrence Halprin, the influential landscape architect passed away. He was 93. He worked in most major cities on the West Coast - this particular article talks a lot about his San Francisco work, but he also did a lot of work in Seattle, and a number of other places. My Dad passed away this morning. He was pronounced at 7:15 a.m. My sister sat with him throughout the night. My brother was able to speak with him by phone, as was my mother.

Rest in Peace, Daddy. I love you.

Andy Hallet, the actor who played Lorne on "Angel", passed away from heart disease last night. I'm sad. He was marvelous! So so so marvelous as Lorne. He brought SO much to that character, and the show.

And he was only 33. 3 years younger than I am.

RIP Andy. You did a great job, and won my heart over and over.
