a public thank you
i want to thank everyone who's contributed so far to the fund for my sister's family.
thank you all, SO much. i am moved beyond words.
hopefully, by the end of the coming week, i will be able to have this account confirmed, and can write a cheque to my sister. so far, we've raised about $300 USD!
all this will help immensely in the coming months.
you'll all be pleased to know that my sister, a public school teacher, is helping to organize the teachers that are both refugees, as well as teachers in already in Texas, to help deal with the children who will be needing to continue their education in the coming months.
thank you, thank you for helping my family. this is more than i could have given alone, and i KNOW it will help.
oh, and FWIW, i ended up upgrading my account to accept debit and CC :)
