today was one of those days i wished i was back home.
i've done really well most of my time here in the city. i keep thinking, you've wanted to be here you're whole life - you can't be here and wish you were somewhere else. so i sucked it up and i'll continue to fall in love with new york.
my little sister graduated from high school today! great job, seester -- you have the best years of your life straight ahead of you! i've never had more fun than i have the past 3 years. i've learned who i am, done things i never would have imagined i could do, and its all brought me here - living my dream in the city.
ben sent me the sweetest email last night telling me how much he misses me. i can't wait to see him in 12 short days!! i am so lucky to have him and that he is so patient in me adjusting to life in the city thousands of miles from him. i would have given a lot to be back home with him today.
so today was pretty bland. i did laundry, cleaned up my room, went to my favorite taco place... again. hehe. i think the guy at the counter is gonna think i'm crazy i go there so much. i order something different every time so i'm not a crazy regular... yet.
notice my new dress! $10 at macy's!! thats geetha (our new friend from facebook), me, mandy (who i go to BSU with) and elaine (who lives in mandy's dorm).
anyways, i had a great night out last night with the girls. found a great little place with $3 margaritas which is like free in new york! i haven't seen a beer for under $4 the whole time i've been here!! i found out where the laundry room was today and did a couple loads, luckily its in the basement of my building as i've heard going to the laundromat is a true new york experience and am not upset to be missing out on!! now, i'll listen to some more music, maybe watch a little more 'office' or 'arrested development' online, then start yet another week at the 1515.
