Passport renewal
I know I have seen this topic here before, but the passports tags turned up empty.
My current passport expires Feb 9, 2009. I am going out of the country from July 16 - Aug 10, 2008, so I thought it would be perfect to just renew it then. However, I am now being told I need to provide a valid passport for a trip I am taking in March 2009. I am a little nervous about giving up my passport now since the summer trip is a big, expensive undertaking.
What are my options in terms of taking renewing the passport fairly quickly here in NYC? I don't want to pay $400 for an overnight service, but if I would be willing to pay half that if I could be assured of getting it back in a week or 2.
