So, this morning, my mother and I went to the fruit market down the street to buy some goodies. I brought the list of foods with me, and we got some stuff that I can eat. It's not like we didn't have anything in the house, but I have been eating cabbage, onions, apples, meat, and other things that are healthy, but I should not be eating for my condition. So I packed myself a lunch:
Peach
Green Grapes
Chopped up carrot
handful of fresh nuts
I need to wean myself off of the meat. I know that I have claimed to dislike meat, and not really care for the flavor, but I eat it anyway for the protein. Well, my doctor said I might be getting too much protein, and I typically eat meat 2 times a day, sometimes even 3 times. My new guidelines are to eat meat 1-2 times a week, and I can't have fish either. I am also not supposed to eat peas or beans. Fortunately, I can have eggs and any nuts that are not peanuts. I guess it will just take some getting used to. The pain has gone down significantly, and I have only been taking half of the amount of pain medicine that I did before.
I also rode my bike today. I hate to admit it, but I haven't ridden it in probably a couple of weeks. I didn't ride too hard, but it was good to get back on again.
