Spin Cycle
the world keeps spinning 'round
my world's upside down
and I, I wouldn't change a thing
Life is kind of like a spin cycle in a washing machine. You know how everything goes around and around and it's mesmerizing? And depending on the quality of your machine, and how good or bad your soap is, you might just get a load of nice fluffy wash to put in the drier. So if you look at it like a metaphor, it's very much like one of my favourite metaphors - the rollercoaster. Always moving and some people get really queasy and want to get off... But usually you have to wait until the end. Your life is like a washing machine load, you and friends keep spinning around... Then one day, if you're lucky, you might come out clean. Or you could just get the stains embedded deeper.
It all depends on which detergent you use, and whether you invested in that washing machine in the first place, even if it wasn't yours to choose growing up. Maybe later you chose a different washing machine. Maybe it was better for you, but looks can be decieving whether they're good or bad. Whether you do maintenance on it, or pay someone else to, that machine needs to be kept going or it will tear the clothes. Maybe some kind soul who's good at fixing things will arrive to help you out. Either way, you've got a better chance with help, just like in life.
I hope one day I come out clean, and my friends can be my company in the drier of the hereafter.
EDIT: I know, I know, there's problems with the analogy. Like every analogy it is flawed. But it was fun to write about anyway =D
