Urbana Blast from the Past

Hallelujah! Salvation and glory
Honor and Power to the Lord our God
For the Lord our God is Mighty
Yes, the Lord our God is omnipotent
The Lord our God, He is Wonderful!

All praises be to the King of kings
And the Lord of lords, He is wonderful!

Serious blast from the Urbana past, folks. Last night I loaded some videos and pictures onto my jump drive... I was especially interested in getting my Urbana Unity Choir videos online because they're pretty much the only tape that Urbana didn't put online themselves and a lot of the people in the choir would like them. I got the best surprise of my life when I found out that someone had taped "Hallelujah, Salvation and Glory" and uploaded it to YouTube. I got CHILLS listening to it. It's one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life. In a few hours, the two songs I uploaded should be viewable and you'll be able to see them at the original post where I discussed the experience, and now there are decent copies (though heavy on either tenor or alto) on the internet of all the songs we did. YES!

I've now listened to that video about, oh, 10 times. And I keep clicking play. And I'm going to record it with Audacity and keep a copy on my MP3 player, along with the other two songs we did. And someday I hope I find out that another choir has done an official recording.

Also on the YouTube front, EVERYONE who is a comics/superheroes fan should watch this series: "Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC" parodying the Mac commercials. Make sure you watch #4. It's SO funny. Also, the original commercial perfectly states why I have zero intention of upgrading to Vista in the near, oh, EVER.

I also loaded a bunch of photos to my drive, so watch for posts that indicate I've updated my LJ Scrapbook.

LJ is being an idiot to me today. Anyone else having problems? Never mind, it's a small scale LJ BLACKOUT. The status page has the dreaded words. LiveJournal may be slow or fail to load entirely. Our Operations team is investigating the problem and working to resolve it as soon as possible. I survived the momentary LJ Blackout of 2007. By typing a post in my Gmail browser and uploading videos to YouTube instead of pics to Scrapbook. AAAAHHHHH!

In other news, it is GORGEOUS outside today. Finally!
