I recently inherited (read: saved from a fate in the recycle bin) something pretty neat. An original copy of the Roll Call: A Masque of the Red Cross, from 1917. I haven't done more than thumb through it yet, and was pleasantly surprised to find it was even sparsely illustrated. Looks kind of like watercolor to me.
It's a neat thing to have in the library. I like collecting things, but I don't have a clear enough criteria on books to justifiably call it "collecting". Most of the more interesting ones I have were inherited in some way.
I have no idea where this one came from. It's sort of delicate so I don't like to open it, but web searching seems to date this to around 1925.
