Okay, i finally got a chance to read (sorry I didn't have time to do it yesterday!) and...
OH. MY. GOD.
This was, just.... *____* I am honestly kind of at a loss for where to start because holy shit, this was so so so so so so so so good. Amazing, even. Just jklejwkqljql.
When I asked for something Tegoshi-centric this is exactly the kind of thing I wanted. He's so startlingly real in this. To quote Zoe below, he's just so human. I love that you really showed his faults and weaknesses just as much as his strengths here and that he wasn't completely oblivious or self-centered, but he wasn't perfect, either. He's so multi-faceted in this and just... real, for lack of a better word. I am having a really hard time finding the right words, but oh god, I am in love with your Tegoshi in this so much right now. Totally, completely in love. ♥
Your Massu was also amazing! His awkwardness and the parts of his personality that are totally endearing just shone through in this. If I hadn't already loved Massu (which, obviously I did XD) I would have loved him by the end of this, just reading his interactions with Tegoshi and everything that transpired. ♥
The story itself was amazing, too. *__* I love that the whole premise is (scarily) plausible and the way you structured the story was wonderful. The pacing and tension throughout were perfect! There were so many layers to this, between Tegoshi's feelings about himself and Masuda, the development of their relationship, Tegoshi's past, everything with Ryo, and Massu's real purpose there. It all unfolded really beautifully, and I honestly could not stop reading once I'd started.
I have more to say but I am having severe trouble with words here. Just know that I love this and I love you for writing it. Thank you so so so so so so so much. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Edit: I forgot--I also LOVE how you worked Koyama and Shige into this. TEGOSHIGE!! ♥
And that Tegoshi was going to be on trial in the end and didn't want to avoid it. It was a really awesome way to end everything (not that I want Tegoshi to go to jail, but you know... >.>).
I'm so glad you liked it (lol, when you commented, my friend Misa really wanted to come and reply to you with, "I'm sooooo glad you liked it, it took me soooo long!" but I think she wanted to live XD). I practically had a heart attack when I saw who I'd gotten, and was like, "OH MY GOD. IT HAS TO BE REALLY GOOD. o____o And then I told Tara who my recepient was, and her only response was "ROFL I GOT ZOE!!" One fic writing OTP deserves another? XD idk.
;__; I'm so glad my Tegoshi is up to par, because... well, it's Tegoshi, he's all I'm good for. XD I do love the little dweeb, with all his faults and strengths♥
My little sister is a big Resident Evil fan, so that probably had a lot of influence on this, just minus zombies. XD I actually sent her to do a lot of research for me, because biosecurity and viral infections are her area.
XD Since you had TegoShige on your list, I couldn't resist throwing a bit of it in there. >> Just so Tego could get his happy ending when he realised the object of his affections was bangin' another man. c:
LOL. She should have commented! It would have thrown me off the scent. 8|
And awhn! XD Dude, it was beyond just good, it was amazing. Seriously. I did so much raving and flailing to people over it that I probably would have been embarrassed by my own behavior if I was still capable of such things. 8|;
Writing OTP switch off! LOL. Perhaps Zoe and I will get you and Tara one of these exchanges to complete the circle. XD
Oh man, I love TegoShige so much and there's so little of it. From the first time Shige showed up on the bus watching Tego I was all "8D NINJA TEGOSHIGE!" at my computer screen. ♥
