He wrote a short entry before going into another round of Q&A, asking if everyone watched “Sore Dame” and “Rental Nanmoshinai Hito”. Referring to his skit in “Sore Dame”, he said he’d have been pissed off if he got interrupted like that so many times while brushing his teeth, but his “father” was really nice. On “Rental”, he said both his “in-laws” are awesome and he liked that family scene a lot.

Koyama said that he’s been reading the comments on YouTube to his video and he’s happy that his video has reached so many people and grateful that it’s gotten picked up by a number of programs. He thanked everyone and included “I LOVE YOU” in English.
He also commented on how there’s been a lot of earthquakes lately and how we have to be prepared in case of one. He also talked about the remote filming for “Barairo Dandy” saying that he filmed it at the agency and so wasn’t always aware of when he was on camera.
He also included a video of himself from when he returned home after filming. He filmed it while taking a bath with a scented candle.

He wrote a little about how it’s the 16th anniversary of NEWS’ major debut and he only remembered after receiving texts from Shindo (Johnny’s Jr) and his friends. He thanked everyone, whether you’ve been supporting them since the start or just recently. He said he’d do his best and hopes we can celebrate the 20th and the 25th anniversary together. He also said he bought a lot of clothes from his friend’s shop aftering looking at the photos they sent him, and is excited about when they’ll arrive, before moving on to a bunch of Q&A:

Masuda Takahisa no Marumaru (May 13)

Massu brought up how since it’s Wednesday there’s both Tegomass no Radio and a new “Rental Nanmo Shinai Hito” episode and asked everyone to watch and listen.
He said that in the previous entry for the question, “A recent moment when you felt you were a genius?”, he wished he had answered when he was able to write his lyrics for “Clover”. He answered a few more questions
Q: What do you personally think is the trendy fashion item for this year?
A: Gloves! I’ve liked them for a long time and have a few pairs, but I’ve never worn them out.
Q: Your rendition of “Koi” was wonderful! It made me think for the first time in my life that I wished I was a wall.

He said that he got a lot of questions about why he sang at the wall like that and he said that in concert it’s hard to know how your own voice sounds, so before shows he practices singing at the wall like that to make the sound reverberate back at him so he can properly heard the volume and balance of his own voice.

Koyama posted a video from the radio booth where he records Kchan NEWS. He had just finished recording and did a mini tour of the booth showing how they have clear divides in the room to protect everyone.

It was Tegoshi’s turn to update
Tegoshi commented on how it’s gotten warm all of a sudden and he put the AC on for the first time this year. He talked about how this summer would be lonely without all the usual summer events like fireworks, the beach, festivals, etc. He also wishes he could do concerts. For shiritori, he had “S” and chose “Sekai (world)”
He talked about how ItteQ is being recorded remotely and when they were talking and Miyagwa Daisuke suggested a drinking party over video chat and everyone was into the idea.
He hopes he can return to going overseas again soon. He says that once he can go again he’ll give it his all so that everyone can enjoy it.
He said that lately he’s been studying a lot of things, because there’s a lot of misinformation available out there on the internet that’s fooling a lot of people and he wants to be able to judge the things he reads.
He said that he’s also playing a lot of video games. He recently beat a game that he’s been looking forward to a lot so now he’s thinking about what to play next. He also commented on how one of the characters in the game was super cute.
He said that he’s also been curious as to what the other members’ have been up to since they can’t meet in person for work and they haven’t been in contact so maybe he’ll reach out to them.
This is from a while back, but we just came across this video of comedian duo Indians sharing a story of Massu from the recording of an episode of “Netapare” in spring 2019. There was this part when some of the comedians had to do a running contest where only the top three comedians will get airtime, so they really did their best, and Massu hugged them when they came in third place. They talked about how they were panting so much they can’t remember anything from the hug because they were just trying their best to catch their breath back. After the recording ended, Kimu and Kanecchi (EXIT) stayed behind because they were still worn out. Massu stayed with them, borrowing an uchiwa from the staff and fanned them the entire time. (Tabuchi: You should just get together with him! Kimu: It’s not what you think!) They said Massu’s super kind and Kimu almost cried. (Source)
It was announced on May 12th that Johnny’s will be forming a temporary special unit, “Twenty★Twenty”, for a charity song, “smile”. Consisting of 15 debuted groups with a total of 76 members, this is the largest group in the history of Johnny’s. The song will be produced by Takizawa Hideaki and Mr. Children’s Sakurai Kazutoshi will be providing the song. While the method of sales/distribution for this song hasn’t been announced yet, proceeds from the song will go towards supporting healthcare and medical workers as part of the “Smile Up! Project”.

The third “Smile Up! Project” video from NEWS was released on May 13th, this time from Shige! Watch him read a picture book he created by himself here.
Imamura Hayato posted a video on Island TV where he talked a lot about Koyama and how kind he is and how much he looks up to him. He said that he wants to learn from Koyama’s good traits so he can become a better version of himself. He also talked about how Koyama smells good. ( Source)
