When we first outlined the 100 Day Plan in early December, we told you of our intent to improve content discovery. Today, with the beta release of the new Explore LJ, we are one step closer to that goal. As you'll see when you try it out, the new Explore LJ is designed specifically to help you find the things on LiveJournal that interest you.

Yeah, you would think, after all of the complaints on the flagging and adult content etc issues, they would have learned: don't make the default something that screws us.

Honestly, I have no opinion on any of the actual "features." I just think it's pretty shitty to make anything opt-out by default. Not everyone on LJ reads News (well, they should, but after all the wank that happens I can see why you wouldn't want to).

and LJ still hasn't fixed the search system that excludes non-racist usage of terms that have been used by racists.
