Okay, so you have to stop what you're doing right now and read this. It's called "Phonemic Awareness," and it's baby!Dean-only, and I am always hungry for these stories, and this one is beautiful. The contrast between what we know he'll turn into and the small child we read here is so poignant and deftly handled, and the little things that wouldn't mean anything for any other future are that much more heartbreaking.
