Well, that's good. I was really not looking forward to paying $3.25 to ride the frigging El. (Funny how different the tone of the article is from the Trib than from The Southern, which is downstate.)
I got to hang out with magneticgal today, and bask in the glow of the brilliantest, bestest baby in Chicagoland. All things are healed by a small child holding your hand at the MCA or plopping down in your lap to shove yet another book at you to read her.
I am... so tired. I did a lot of walking in very cold winds today, and I still haven't entirely warmed up. I may be forced to call it an early night -- I don't know, we'll have to see how my brain is working.
My reread of The Killer Angels is proving even more ungodly wonderful than I could have imagined. I'm already plotting on getting ahold of Traveler next. Hello, Civil War obsession from 1995-96. Good to see you again.
