That ought to take you back, huh, moondoggie?

Hollywood Video let me down even harder today. Not only was Season One Disc 1 of The West Wing gone, but Disc 2 had been checked out as well. So, I got Disc 6 from Season Four. Mostly -- well, okay, entirely because of "Life On Mars," which is Joe Quincy (Matthew Perry), Special White House Counsel's first day on the job.

Newsflash: Josh and Joe are not Matt and Danny, and it's disorienting. So disorienting, in fact, that I kept snapping screencaps of all their scenes together.

See all 19 here.

One more thing about TWW -- it's so weird to see a vice president demure to the president. Isn't that sad? That six years of that dipshit in the White House right now and I get cognitive dissonance when Martin Sheen speaks strongly to Otter from Animal House?

Barnes & Noble keeps spamming me with these "get $10 off if you buy now!" ads. That would let me snag all of Sports Night for something like $44. Hmmm.

When I wasn't glomming onto the World o'Aaron Sorkin today, I was collecting pictures of whales. (I was going to spam you all with the best of the bunch, and still will, probably, but give it time -- it'll be a big mediadump.) (Side note: I would totally do this. Or any of their other tours.) Last night at Clay's Dress Like Your Parents party, I was introduced like this: "This is Esther. She's... weird." That made me happy. It seemed very apt.

I get to hang out with e_clare tomorrow! And Lord of the Rings marathon with Clay on Saturday... 2006, you may acquit yourself just a tad at the last minute.
