I think I finally know what I'm going to offer for Yuletide; at least one is a terrible, terrible idea, and it is almost certainly the one I'd get matched on, because that's how Yuletide works for me.
I've been loving
GollyBard's art for a long time, and she's finally made an original watercolor that I both really like and could conceivably afford. (I also really like this print, which is considerably cheaper. In case, er, someone nabs that first. No one nab that painting, please. I think I want it for my new place.)
Meanwhile, I still need to figure out how to pack/protect my largest framed art. I have some bubble wrap to buy in the near future.
Okay, so I've done pretty much all the things I can do that allow me to stay in the sunniest room in the apartment. I've given myself one of my three rooms to pack up each of my three remaining days here. This is the best way to keep things as remarkably panic-free as this process has been. I... don't want to lose out on sunbeam action, though.
