Yesterday Tom finally brought over his modded Playstation so i can finally play MY KENSHIN FIGHTING GAME!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!! ^_^x it's super oldskool, but i love it. i just unlocked Kaoru (which was obviously the first thing i did once i got the chance), which i had to wait til now to do since Tom has been playing FFVII most of the time, & i have to go back & get Saitou later. (btw, Aoshi? yeah, i hate you.) but im just glad it WORKS. ive had the game for months but i had to wait for the modded console to play it cause it's an import. woooohooo. the funniest part was that the instruction booklet is in Japanese, & Tom is like, "how do i do a special move!?" & im leafing thru to Kenshin's page and sounding out hiragana as i go. so i found Ryu Tsui Sen & Ryu Kan Sen Tsumuji & some others & wrote down the button combos for him, & i hear, "Shousha, Kenshin!" & Tom is like, "oh. nevermind." @_@ lol. now i have to go find Kaoru's moves online somewhere b/c she is not in the book. MOUUUU.
otherwise not much is new. i checked into pharmacy school stuff, & for various reasons i will probably have to wait ANOTHER FRIGGIN YEAR to start. however, im really upset by all the politics involved in professional careers, and im really starting to wonder if i could just make it as a writer. it comes naturally to me & i can do it quickly if need be without sacrificing quality (i used to start lab reports at 1 am the night before they were due, & my lab reports were usually 15-25 pages long, & i would always get A's). i would be a good editor, but that sounds boring. mostly i think im attracted to being a doctor-type career b/c of the problem-solving. i like the whole idea of testing things & then using the results to figure out a diagnosis. what DOES bother me is stupid shit, like this episode of House i watched where the pharmacist made a mistake, & the doctors are all, "oh, figures." !? and all the bullshit with payments in vet hospitals...i dont feel comfortable not treating a patient b/c you refuse to pay cant afford it. that's something that would BOTHER me and BOTHER me. i always thought i could do it, but idk. and euthanizing animals for no reason. i think we should euthanize unwanted children, or old nursing home patients, or disabled ppl. once you become a burden to someone, needle in your arm. sounds fair to me. thats seriously how i see it in my head. and im not thrilled about being a doctor and sucking up to your clients as they are being nasty to you. or dealing with morons at pharmacies who think Vicodin should be refilled the day after the original prescription. not to mention malpractice, insurance, all that stuff. i like the IDEA of being a doctor, yes. but it's not diagnosing/treating people anymore. it's bullshit. i'd like being a doctor, i think, the most OUT of the office, where i could help my family with my knowledge or stuff like that. basically this all relates to my intense hatred of the human race, b/c they are the ones who involved the politics. so screw them.
last nite playing FFVII (which i have never played before, fyi) Tom & i were trying to figure this password out. i suck at rpgs for this reason, b/c i get frustrated too easily. anyway, we did exactly what the walkthrough said and OMG we could not get it. im convinced the walkthrough is wrong, or vague. finally we thought we had it, & we were wrong, & we started yelling at each other about this stupid RPG puzzle. so Tom reset the game & we tried again, but it was this huge ordeal. lol. Tom just wanted to randomly guess b/c he didnt even want the materia anymore, but i WANTED TO FIGURE IT OUT. in retrospect it was kind of funny. poor Cloud was running in circles in and out of rooms the whole time. i went to bed at FIVE am.
and i am DYING to see Brokeback Mountain b/c EVERY SINGLE PERSON who sees it says it is AMAZING, plus Heath AND Jake are both 100% dreamy, but Tom won't go with me. im NOT going to the movies alone b/c i think thats sad, & i dont know who else to ask. maybe i should just dl a bootleg. *sigh* but the Steelers are winning! so that's good.
