300 and dinner

So I've been meaning to post for 2 days on the 300. We saw it Thursday. So good. Sooo good. Why so good you ask? Because it was beautiful and artistic and a classic comic book. "I love a good fight, with honor, style, and efficiency"

There was one scene that perfectly reflected this statement. There was a time when one of the Spartans was crouched very low and would spin in a stationary circle right, slash, spin left, stab then a few fancy moves later thrust the edge of his shield into the face of an attacker.

That kind of total advantage combat is just breath taking. Savage perhaps but not mindless or crude. Death by grace and skill can be beautiful.

Brawlers don't impress me. Fight Club was not my kind of movie. There were scenes I just could not watch. So I would think that yes, even for those who don't like violence, this is a beautiful movie.

I'd like to do more than just lick Mr. Butler. :)

Let's not forget his role as the Phantom!

I'm planning on seeing '300' next weekend in IMAX. Because you just can't watch Spartans kickin' ass in anything less than three stories of surround sound. :D

From the critic who gave "The cutting Edge" two thumbs way up, her newest review, of 300!

:) I was gonna see it anyway, and I liked cutting edge as well.
