When: June 16th around 10am
Invited: Bobby, Audrey, Any

Chel had found a hammock behind the house. It was one of those that came with a frame so one could relax in it anywhere. She would have left it out back, but she didn't care much for the shade, and so she had dragged it out front to lounge in the sun.

Chel had awakened early, snacked on some Cap'n Crunch (freshly stolen from the local supermarket only yesterday!) and had moved outside to enjoy the fresh air. She was dressed in a clean pair of shorts and a thin tank top, outfit completed with her brand-new flip-flops. Their shopping-spree yesterday had been fun, but she was already bored with the town, electricity and all.

She had never been a lover of the outdoors -- after all, there was considerably less of interest outside in the big city but the long months spent outdoors had endeared her to it, particularly now that she wasn't hiking across the countryside.

She had even taken to reading a bit. In her room, she had discovered a cache of comic books, which had quietly amused her. She had grabbed the comic with the most familiar characters -- Batman and Catwoman. Although not a huge superhero fan, she had always liked Catwoman in the movies...

Hush was a bit strange, though, referencing characters and events she had never heard of. She had a vague memory of Nightwing from Cartoon Network, but she hadn't known it was supposed to be Batman's first Robin. In fact, he'd had a couple Robins by this issue...

And Catwoman had finally bagged him.

About damned time.

Turning the pages, she found herself more interested in the dark artwork than in the storyline. It certainly wasn't the cartoons she'd expected when opening the book, and it was absolutely fascinating.
