Bloop bloop.
I'm getting pretty tired of work. It's nice knowing things and being able to make changes but it's really over taxing my systems. I feel pretty worn out all the time now. I have no idea how to get everything done in the span of one day. I was talking to my area manager and he's all "It only takes half an hour for you to fill out the manager meeting paperwork, an hour to have the meeting, an hour for schedules, five minutes for a shift rally, ten minutes to do a 360, ten minutes to set up a tasting, half an hour to do the core scrub and send in the questions, ect." If you add all that together plus the fact that I've had interviewees showing up all day and applicants dropping of resumes and I have to actually be on the floor part of the day because we don't make enough money to have enough staff where I can just sit in the office and fill out paperwork. That and I have to give my shift managers time to do the tasks that I delegated to them so it's like I didn't have to delegate at all because a lot of it I could do faster and move on to whatever else I needed to do while they are still plugging away and most the time I have to either saute or be the cashier while this is happening.
We are short 4 people. I need to hire at least three more and possibly four more people with-in the next week. I have one girl hired and I'm really excited to have her on board. I have one other girl that is probably going to be hired I just need to have my area manager say yes. Then I still need two more back of house people. The hardest to hire for. Too many people with too much experience.
I'm excited to get three days off. I'm going to lose half a PTO day because I can't take even more time off. :( My crew is awesome however and I could have asked for better support. I made them cookies even though all I wanted to do was curl up on the kitchen floor and sleep.
I'm mad at LJ and it's html. I'm too tired to even try my html skills at this point. Bed time. Early to work tomorrow to get the new girl on boarded. Woo.
