To say that Liir didn't like children was entirely false.

For one, he'd dealt with enough young Animals while their parents were conversing with the Witch. For another, he'd lived among any number of children at different points, some while he was a child and some while he was on the cusp of... not being a child. Liir neither liked nor disliked them as a group, though he'd found that they didn't usually like him as a rule of thumb. He didn't hold this against them.

But as for this droid thing he'd been assigned to watch over, Liir could not have been said to even have a vague tolerance for it. The whole idea made his insides crawl as if they wanted to be his outsides and he'd consumed more tea and crackers in the last few days than he'd had in nearly a year.

He'd found something of a happy medium by leaving it to lay on the second bed in the room. It couldn't fall, he could tend to it quickly, and it wasn't anywhere near him. As a bonus...

"Makie, you don't mind watching the thing for a bit, do you?"

The dog's head tilted before she gave a little 'huff'. Liir took that for a yes.

"Good girl. Now, I'm going to figure out how to turn the heel on this and perhaps someone will have socks for Lurlinemas."
