I mean I treated the game as if it was a life or death match in chess.
Haha I did that for the longest time as well! I hate skipping nodes, even when they are unimportant and I know I will be eventually have so many spheres I can go back to them...and whenever I reach a "cross-road" or whatever--or when a character is done with his/her own section of the grid, I deliberate for SO LONG on what to start teaching them next :)
Dark Knight pwns. :p I also really liked alchemist because who can so no to healing without using MP or items? I actually never really used the "special" dressspheres...but X-2 had possibly the easiest non-cheat ever...with the Cat Nip item, for whomever it was equipped to every action dealt 9999 when in critical status...so if you equipped it to a gunner with level 3 trigger happy it was like using Omnislash or Lionheart! Even though I felt like I was cheating by using it, it was really helpful if you were item hunting in an area with tougher fiends because it made the battles end so fast!

Alchemist was pretty awesome. I had a hard time leveling up my white mage one. I hated working on it, lol. But it was one of your most important ones, though. I've heard of the Cat Nip item, but the combo you used sounds so cool. I know you whopped Shuyin, lol.

I actually found White Mage really easy to level...dresspheres gain abilities based on 3 things--defeating an enemy, using an ability unique to that dressphere, and using an ability unique to the garment grid...and I would a lot of times just have the White Mage pray on every turn, so she got an ability point on every turn and just shot right on up there :) Lol I actually didn't use cat nip until the very end of the Shuyin battle. I wanted to make sure I heard all of the things they said so I just sort of played around up until he talks for the last time, then...that's all she wrote :)
