"Uuuh..."

I've really gotta stop grabbing people like that. Everyone in this town's always waitin' for someone to kill them, or something! Misato forced a rather nervous smile at the younger woman, and with her free hand pointed downwards right in front of her feet. "Wet concrete."

Sure enough, there were a few patches of yet-to-dry concrete, and it wasn't really too surprising that no one had bothered to string up some ribbon to keep the unsuspecting or absent-minded walker from sinking their feet right into the stuff, especially considering the area of town it was.

Attempting a wider grin and hoping it was friendly enough for certain arms to be lowered, Misato went on cheerfully, "Step in that stuff and you'll never get it off your shoes, y'know?"

Ashe looked at Misato with narrowed eyes, to the floor, and back again, before she lowered her sword to her side, sheathing it. "I see," she replied promptly. Perhaps, still, this area managed to unnerve her. She continued in a slow tone, "... no. I suppose you wouldn't."

"Ya-huh," Misato agreed, folding her arms casually across her front and eyeing the other. She looked quite out of place in this kind of area, and not only because her clothes were in stark contrast to her surroundings and of much better quality, there was some kind of... well. The way she held herself clearly showed she was from some kind fo upper class.

"Are you lost or something, sweetie?" she asked then, raising her eyebrows slightly, "I mean no offense but people don't usually come to this area unless, uuh... well you just kinda look like you're lost." And you know, this is the best place for drug deals, kidnappings, and then of course there are the unfortunate ones who have to actually live here.

"That is not so," Ashe replied, shaking her head briskly. "I was here on buisiness-" she stopped, as she glanced down at her clothes choice once again. As usual, her selection of attire really did make her stand out, even if it was one of the least expensive outfits she happened to own. "-even if I may look out of place."

Unable to help but wonder what kind of business a girl like her could have in this area, Misato gave an amused little laugh and flicked some dark hair over her shoulder.
"Out of place is one word for it... but hey, a girl's gotta look pretty," she winked, seeming nonchalant even as she curiously tried to piece together why a girl with such formal clothing, speech and posture was doing 'on business' in the slums ...oh, and with a sword. Not forgetting the sword.

Normally this would've been the part where she gave a rushed 'good day' and went about her business, but something in Misato's gut urged her that leaving that girl around here alone wouldn't be good for her health. Taking care of Shinji really is turning you into a bit of a mother hen. Sheesh...

Not quite being able to conceal it, Ashe smiled for a brief moment at Misato's comment - she did like clothes, of many varities. In that respect, she was a true feminist - apart from the sword. Maybe that wasn't so feminine. "I think the same," Ashe replied eventually, gazing down at her arm and twisting it from side to side, seemingly admiring the cloth adorning it, the ring on her finger still managing to glint even in the permanent darkness that seemed to cover the slums. "Though clothes must also be practical, as well as full of beauty."

"Tell me about it," Misato agreed whole-heartedly, taking the smile as some kind of victory and sighed to herself, gesturing down to the short black dress beneath her usual red jacket, "I mean, I love this dress to bits and it makes my ass look good, but it's easy ta move around in too, y'know?"

She found her eyes travelling down to Asche's ring as well, a curious look crossing her face as she wondered if the girl might be married or something, watching the way her eyes looked upon the jewellery. "... heh, sorry, I meant to say, I'm Misato. You got a name, hon?"

Ashe quickly decided to give her real name rather than the alias - this was no longer buisness, afterall. "Ashelia - though Ashe is much more preferred," she smiled, before giving a curt nod. Even is she was used to clothes of richness beyond comparison, she couldn't deny that Misato's was quite.. nice, to be frank. "That dress is a good find. You should take good care of it."

Ooh, pretty name, she thought, feeling also as though it struck a note somewhere in her memory even as she posed jokingly to show off the dress, honestly not wanting to mention how much it had cost her. "Aww, why just Ashe? Kids these days never seem to like their full names, even if they're pretty like that. Like this one girl I used to know, her name was Aura-Lea, beautiful name, but she insisted on being called Ollie all the time..."

Misato quickly stopped herself before she let her mouth blab on, rubbing a hand into her hair slowly and feeling a little idiotic for standing around talking and probably keeping Ashe from whatever 'business' she needed to attend. I don't usually just stop and talk to strangers like this, either... hm, must be in the mood for company, I suppose.

"So uh... don't mean to pry, Ashe, but what's a girl like you doing on business around here?" still tugging absently at her hair, between her knuckles, "It's not the safest place to be around, especially since that last... zombie-attack thing totalled this

"Well..." Ashe paused for a moment. Why did she liked being called just Ashe? She had no qualms against her full name, but Ashe... she seemed to like it more than 'Ashelia'. "... I suppose I just prefer to be called Ashe," she said eventually, still not quite sure of the reason herself.

She swiftly moved on to the next thing Misato had mentioned by blinking a few times, and saying sternly, "Zombies." Not in disbelief - as if in comfirmation of something she'd heard before. She hadn't been around for the zombie attack, and only had the accounts of the rest of the Tatakai to go on - which were usually far fetched - and that of the government, but of course, that had been covered up swiftly. To hear it from someone else? She really did need to get out more beyond high-class social occasions. "It may not be the safest haven here, but it's where my duties lie - beyond that, I'm afraid, Misato," she offered a slightly apolegetic and secretive smile. "I cannot inform you."
