.... what? Sora looked up at the sky again. There was nothing about it to suggest that something was wrong. Anyone who hadn't spent an hour wandering around the quickest routes towards school (due to a sudden lack in transport) would have thought everything was perfectly normal. But as the minutes ticked by, Sora felt more and more uneasy, like something was DEFINATELY wrong. In the past few seconds he had just put his finger on it - he had met, seen, or heard from noone. The city... was empty.

Surely.. not? he thought to himself again, looking around, checking and rechecking several streets. The vibe that had nagged at him all morning was growing stronger. What happened? he thought to himself, running ahead onto what he knew was a main road, pulling out his keyblade as he did so. Again, nobody was there. Trying to put it down to some joke, he yelled out to the barren air, "what's going on?!"

Kaiba Seto was not in a good mood. He had no idea what kind of practical jokes his employees were trying to pull by not turning up to work, but he was not laughing. Striding down the street and drawing his trench coat around himself, he scanned the area as though he expected to just find his employees sitting in some cafe or some other place. Naturally he didn't find anyone. What's going on? He thought irritably, stopping in the middle of the street and looking around, wondering whether there had been some kind of street parade or something that would result in the whole street being deserted.

Come to think of it, there was no one at school either, which was why I went to work in the first place. People have better things to do than play such a huge practical joke on me, so there is probably some kind of street event luring people away. Then again, Mokuba would have told me about it. He thought before glancing up as he spotted someone in front of him, his eyes narrowing. This really was too much. First he found the school deserted, ( ... )

Not expecting to hear anyone reply to him, Sora jumped several feet in the air in surprise, almost fell over, avoided screaming, and gathered himself to see some very unamused guy in front of him. "Er... you don't know what's going on?" he asked shortly. What, he was oblivious to the lack of people or something? "You mean you haven't noticed there is NOBODY around?!" he said, getting slightly frustrated.

Kaiba frowned. Is he patronising me? Hn, he should take a look at himself before he starts asking stupid questions like that, running around with a giant key. Rolling his eyes and folding his arms across his chest, he sneered "I have noticed, I didn't deem it as being very important until now. Since you don't know why the street is deserted, I suggest you stop trying to patronise me."

"Oh.. right.." Sora said, his momentary anger disappearing as if it had never been there in the first place. "I'm not patronizing you.." he added slowly. He was just completely drawing a loss to what was going on. If he hadn't seen anyone either, did that? "... since you've not seen anybody, does that mean.. there's nobody else?"

"I suppose it does," Kaiba answered after a moment, briefly wondering why it was really such a bad thing. If there was no one else around then he would finally get the peace and quiet he wanted. I haven't even seen Mokuba this morning though, so what makes this kid so different from everybody else, and me for that matter? Someone's trying to play a trick on me, I know it. "Anyway, it doesn't matter," he added flatly. "This is just some prank. A whole city population doesn't just vanish into thin air."

Sora wasn't one hundred percent certain that Kaiba's thoughts were true. It was a very big proposition to have the whole population aside from him and this guy vasish - but it wasn't impossible. From what I've seen I doubt it is.. "If... if it was a joke... where would everybody go?" he said, tapping his keyblade on the floor as he spun full circle, to only be met with Kaiba's face again.

"Hn, there's probably some kind of celebration somewhere that's drawn everyone in." Kaiba answered immediately, although even he had to doubt that.

Sora concidered. It could be a possiblity; but why had there been no mention of it what-so-ever? He shook his head slowly, his spiked hair falling to and fro. "I don't think it would... I mean... there's nothing about it, right, and there's like..." a definate vibe of emptiness..
