Somebody is gonna get hurt real bad...

So I got my notebook back from the depot and the first thing I noticed was my hard drive partitions are screwed up. The recovery partition which should be about 12gigs is set at 68gigs with 57gigs free, so I called HP to see about repartitioning to get that space back into the main drive.

After checking the system and the HP guy double checking what I already knew it turns out that the repair guys installed the wrong software on my pc, not only is it not the artist edition software its also the wrong operating system they put the 32-bit OS on instead of the 64-bit OS on it.

So with the warning that I might have problems they told me to run the recovery software. The first attempt actually got the furthest at about 2/3rds of the way into the vista install before locking up, every other attempt has failed either during or after the second disc. Currently I am on six attempts but I still think the drive is baked.

According to the invoice they replaced the thermal pad, according to customer service tracker the received it on the 11th and shipped it the next day which leads me to think they didn't check anything after changing the pad just ghosted it and sent it on back to me.
