(no subject)
Had to go take a drug test today for one of my new jobs (I look so sketchy). I was a bit worried that they might not be open, with this psuedo federal holiday we had on the 3rd, but was reassured by a) my friends telling me that, yeah, it'll be open, b) when I called, the phone menu did not say anything about a change in hours, and c) their website did not mention anything about holiday closings (this place is part of the larger hospital company in the cities (is a hospital a company?).
So I take the twenty minute bus ride over there, so I don't have to worry about parking. I walk up to the door, and yes, shockingly enough, it's all dark and closed. And then I walked back to the bus stop and waited about half an hour for the next bus, to take a 25 minute bus ride home again. So ridiculous.
Also, I've had this incredibly annoying headache all day. It's my monthly First Day of "That Time" Headache, which I am sooo over. I had things I probably could have done today, but it's difficult to motivate yourself to work when you want to go outside - because that is where the brick wall is that you can knock your head against.
