I've just been through one of the most severe but short lived colds ever. I rarely medicate for anything -- taking aspirin or cough syrup or putting a band aid on a bleeding laceration tend to be the last things on my mind when my health takes a turn, generally figuring I'll battle through it on my own for some unnecessary reason, like how Nicholas Cage merely grits his teeth when shot in the arm. So I had nothing in the house to help me during my two day dying stint.
That's not exactly true, though, so here's the Brooklyn-guide towards courage wolfing your way through a cold:
Codeine
Red Bull
Aloe tissues
Three blankets
More codeine
My advice is good advice.
