"tiny tim? junior? little d?" "they've all been done."

things are so great right now. work is actually fun for the first time in ages. i've met a tremendous amount of incredible people in the last week, some of whom i'm (weather-permitting) going floating on the river with tomorrow. i've had fun nights. there are only two things that could make me even more content with my life right now. one of them is having a washer & dryer again, and the other.....is a secret.

mark and i are on good terms once again, which is a good thing since we're working together (the factor that made us reconnect in the first place). speaking of work, i officially start serving this week, thursday, i believe. i don't have to work at all tomorrow, so i'm hoping it's scalding hot outside so that i'll once again be able to engage in an actual "summer" activity (come on oregon, it's july. stop raining.).

one thing i do need to do is start reading again. i'm halfway through two books, and i haven't picked up either of them for about two weeks. this is weird for me, because normally when i start a book i read it regularly until i'm done, and i've never read more than one book at a time (excluding texts, of course). i just need a little motivation. weather that allows me to lay in central park will do just fine.

my grandpa's family reunion is this saturday. tim took my shift, so now all i have to worry about is making that damned fruit salad and psyching myself up for spending a friday night in salem. the good news is it's supposed to be at least 70 in rockaway beach, so i'll probably be taking sable for a walk down the shore. this is the time of year that i realize how much i miss my grandpa. i'm pretty excited to go camping with him next month.

which reminds me...i have the biggest craving for sno-cap that i've ever had in my life. i can't wait until august. who wants to make a trip to sisters?
