In a way, I would have liked to try the slugs, in a controlled manner. This is why:

I have a cybernetically enhanced brain. Much of the data in my memories and thoughts is stored not in my organic brain, but in the machines attached to it. The organic brain is responsible for basic actions and procedural memory, but if it were circumvented by another force, that force may not know how to act with all the integrated circuitry strewn throughout the organic neurons.

In that case, I could possibly take control back. If cybernetic enhancement can allow one to "remote control" their brain, essentially, mind control of the organic brain becomes much less threatening.

Or maybe they're smart enough to work around it. Adapt to all the extra mechanics inserted into your brain.

They were stupid enough to be killed, but who knows how they actually work. There might be bodies left on the mountain, maybe.

Maybe they are. That is why it would be an experiment.

I should go up there and take a look around.

Why don't you? Blow the damn thing up while you're at it.

If I find it, that can be arranged.

Tell me what you discover, if you find one.
