Another Sailor Batgirls (plus Tuxedo Robin) drawing!
WHO will be Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus and Tuxedo Mask? It's not that hard to guess...
Bette Kane aka Bat-Girl= Sailor Venus, Warrior of Love and Beauty. These two fit so much it's scary. Bette, sadly, was pretty much defined by her crush on Robin, so she's a perfect fit for a Warrior of Love. Also, she's a blonde prone to occasional ditziness. AND, she's the most senior Batgirl, like Venus is the most senior Sailor. In addition to all that, Sailor Venus and Bat-Girl have freakishly similar costume designs, I discovered when I was using pictures for reference. Bat-Girl even wears a mask similar to the one Minako wore as Sailor V, and Bette even had a sailor collar and little schoolgirl dress going for her. Was Bette Kane secretly the first Sailor Senshi? We MAY NEVER KNOW.
Helena Bertlnelli= Sailor Mars, Warrior of Fire and Passion. Hey, Helena was Batgirl at one point. Both dark-haired women have fiery tempers and a passion for jumping headfirst into a fight. Both are full of snark and sarcasm and effectively orphaned. Both were effectively loners before they hooked up with their Nakama.
Tim Drake= Tuxedo Mask and he is not happy at the prospect of getting kidnapped and stabbed for the rest of his natural life. But suck it, Tim, because as mrsfrankenstien put it, you are Steph's mysterious masked boyfriend who's kind of a jerk, and TM is Sailor Moon's mysterious masked boyfriend who's kind of a jerk. Tim even jumped in front of Steph once and took a bullet for her once, similar to the bajillion times Tuxedo Mask jumps in front of Usagi and takes a bullet (or more commonly, stabby projectile) for her. Aaaand both are possibly secretly gay. TM is actually probably bi. (I'm just SAYing, him and Fiore) Also, both are often put in situations where it looks like they're cheating on their respective blonde girlfriends when that would never really cross their minds.
This is really a lot more fun than it has any right to be. I will probably do Uranus, Pluto and Neptune soon. (For the record, Renee, Selina and Kate)...though I can't decide if Chibi-Usa should be Misfit or Steph's ACtual kid from the future. The last one amuses me too much to let go.
