the semi-charmed kind of life
lol so i suck at keeping up with this thing. i'll try to be better. anyway, i've had quite the lovely weekend so i wanted to write about it :)
friday: easy day at work (all my work for the day was done by 9:30 so i sat and "read papers" *cough* went on facebook *cough* until 2:45 when i left). went to giant eagle after and picked up supplies to make myself a pecan-crusted chicken salad for dinner. the chicken turned out okay and i put entirely too much dressing on the salad but other than that it wasn't too shabby. matt came to pick me up around 6:30 and we went mini-golfing, which was actually really fun. i tend to be bad at such things that require hand-eye coordination but somehow i didn't suck for once and managed to beat matt by 7 (tee hee :D). we went and got rita's afterwards and then crashed at my house. it was such a nice, relaxing little date night. the whole us both working full time thing has put a little damper on our summer adventures since we're both usually ready to pass out at 10:30 or 11, but we manage :)
then yesterday i got to be lazy all morning until around 12:30 when i got out of bed, showered, and continued being lazy and watching vh1... it was grand. matt and i went to lex's grad party later, which was funnnn... and then he was supposed to go to a show with sal but sal's girlfriend katie suggested that the 4 of us go out to dinner. so we were like "sounds like fun" so we went back to matt's and he played guitar for me (yay) for a little bit until sal came to pick us up. we ended up just going over to katie's house since they had eaten at sal's family reunion earlier and we ate at lex's. we made a bonfire and ate pizza rolls and made s'mores and sat around and talked until 1 in the morning. i had a really amazing time. katie was really cool; she's going to school to be a physicians assistant so i got to nerd out and talk about science classes and work and everything with her. matt seemed like he had fun too so in all it was a good night.
as for today, i just went to church... talked to michelle a bit, will call her later about hanging out tomorrow night... and i'll talk to matt later about having lunch tomorrow. yay. now i'm just doing laundry. i can't say i want to go to work tomorrow but still... very good weekend.
