Author's Notes: Not mine. Not true. Not even remotely. Also, this doesn't continue from much of anything.
“You know, Kev, violets have always reminded me of violence.”
A pair of green eyes gave him the strangest look from where they floated in an ocean of white light.
Those were Kevin's eyes, weren't they?
Even if they weren't, he wanted them to be.
Even if they weren't, it was Kevin's gentle, lilting drawl that answered him.
“Nicky, you're high out of your mind on painkillers. You were just in a bad car accident, and you're lucky to be alive, much less thinkin' about flowers. I'm sure it seems like everything has always reminded you of violence right now.”
Nick tried to say something about how they always had 'cause they sounded the same, but it came out an an incoherent moan.
Apparently, these supposed “painkillers” he had taken were not as conducive to speaking in complex sentences as he'd thought.
Kevin's eyes were really, really pretty.
“Shh, baby, it's all right,” Kevin said, and pressed a kiss to his lover's lips as he carried Nick up to their hotel room after the medics had finally let his Nicky go.
