It turns out that mirror-selves are much more likely to listen to you if you point your laser screwdriver at them.
All right, I only did that once, when he tried to climb out. The rest of it was just reasoning with him. I didn't trust him to do a proper switch so that I could investigate the Shadow City myself, but he did explain a few conclusions he'd come to. Oh, but he did insult me quite a bit so I do need a new mirror. It was too bad: before I could even test if Masha had a mirror-version.
Oh yes, and Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend. I'm almost hesitant to ask: what sort of awful, heart-encrusted curses have the deities inflicted upon the City in the past?
[Action for Rain]
Thanks to Inara's design, the couch is low, and sectional. He sets the tea on the coffee table there, British-style, rather than using the low table off to the side with cushions for seats. The teapot is white, with a spattered maroon pattern on it, as are the cups and saucers included on the table. There is a pot of sugar with a spoon, a small pitcher of milk, and a plate with a selection of plain and raspberry scones on it.
The Master is cleaning up the kitchen as he waits for Rain, but he has to stop briefly to go and shoo Masha away from the scones. Unperturbed, the kitten runs over to curl up on one of the cushions by the other table and the Master walks back to the kitchen, where he ends up just eating a scone he didn't put out instead.
