My date with lady luck

So I'm getting to the point in this semester where I am starting to not really care anymore. The point where you really just want the semester to end. Today I was supposed to have a quiz in Philosophy and directly after I was supposed to have a fallacy test in my Philosophy lab( I didn't study for either), but thanks to a wonderful Texas law and a roll of the dice by the gods, I didn't. There is a Texas law that says that at least once a year every university has to check their fire evacuation plans with students present. Towards the end of lecture in my Philosophy class(right before the quiz. Actually just as the quiz was starting), the evacuation alarm came on. No QUIZ! So I started walking to our lab a little early and sat around a little while, and all of the sudden the theater building across the street started evacuating. That's funny, someone must be a serial fire alarm puller I thought. Shortly after my lab started and he just started handing out the tests, guess what happened? Yep! Fire ALARM! No test. Then I later found out about that law and thought, how lucky I am for everything happening in my favor.

The moral of this story is, when you decide to play Battlefield 1942 and kill Nazis instead of studying, God rewards you.

Edit: yes I know I committed a fallacy by saying first that it was lady luck, then it was the gods and then God.
I said I didn't care alright!?
