Emma loved the snow. She disliked the island on the whole and she was somewhat livid about the change in her house, which had been one of the few things she did like about the place, but the weather made for a surprisingly pleasant change.

It wouldn't last much longer by all accounts. Standing within sight of the Compound, she turned her head up to look at the sky and the oversized, cartoonish flakes falling from the sky. She would be grateful for something to do when the school term began again, but even with the bizarre nature of the snow before it hit the ground, she wished it would last a little longer.

Of course, that was about when the snow tumbled from a branch overhead and directly onto her already white-clad shoulders and head. For a moment, she simply stood there, blinking, then reached up to brush it from her hair. There was a boy walking past and she offered him a thin smile. "Hello," she said wryly. As her luck around here seemed to go, a bit of snow dumped on her was getting off light.
