So, as some of you may know, there is a dude I am interested in here. He lives in my hall and he seems really cool. Not only is he devastatingly cute, he's also really nice. Every time I see him, he seems excited to see me.

However, there is a problem. I feel like we'd really hit it off if we managed to sit down for five or ten minutes and talk, but we're never in the same place. I only see him when we're going to different places in opposite directions. Yesterday I passed by him going the other way on the side of the street I was crossing from, and then later that night he was leaving with a group of people as soon as I came into the lounge. Wtf. It's like the universe is conspiring against me. (Or possibly us. He does seem pretty happy to see me whenever we do run into each other...)

Eventually, I'm going to find out that we're both stalking each other, and that's why we never meet. It'll be great. In the meantime, it feels like I'm living in a Missed Connection post on craigslist at least once a day.

In other, non-boy-related news, I had my first classes yesterday! They were cool. My philosophy class seems especially awesome, and I'm really looking forwards to doing more in there. Today I had French, Italian, and then World Music. Turns out I have World Music with my friend, which is weird, because we discovered at orientation when we made our schedules that we had it at the same time and in the same building but with different teachers. Not complaining, though! Italian was fun too; the teacher was really animated and excited. French was okay. We're going to watch a movie on Monday and then have a sort of quiz over it.

My computer fried itself. It overheated, bluescreened, and as it was getting ready to shut down, there was a pop and a flash and the screen went black and I had to manually turn it off. I haven't tried to turn it back on since, argh. It's really annoying, because apparently the French syllabus was sent to my Truman email. At least we have computer labs at school. My phone died last night, though, and wouldn't send texts or calls or anything, so I freaked out for a little while about that. Removing and then replacing the sim and battery fixed it.

I'm going home this weekend for a few reasons. One, to get my computer taken care of. Two, I need my car. Three, one of our cats is really skinny and lethargic and we're getting some bloodwork done on Saturday. I hope he's okay. :( He's the one who wanders around outside a lot, so it's very possible he has leukemia or FIV.

cats, stuff, damien, blah blah, college
