Riffius Maximus updaticus
Riff Raff (or Rift Raft as he is strangely known by his file at the vet), is at the Grand Lake Vet right now getting a followup blood pressure analysis today.
he's been doing better, he's been a little low energy, but it's looking like the retina in his right eye has recovered, which means he can at least see a little bit now. It's disconcerting because that means that one eye is "alien eye" big, and the other is normal cat eye. But hey, if it's between my buddy seeing and not seeing, hell, i'll get the little angel an eye patch.
he's apparently a little dehydrated and has lost a little bit of weight, so i'm going to switch him to a higher protein content of wet food, and start adding more water to it to make it more soupy, which he seems to like anyway.
the trick of course is keeping Sophia away from it, which is a full time job.
The girl likes to eat almost as much as she likes pettings.
I'll know more from the blood pressure later today when I get home, but i'm optimistic.
It's strange to hear Riffy so quiet, there's been nary a peep from him, unless it's time for him to take his twice daily antibiotic (not my favorite task in the world!).
Although the Riffy papoose is hard to turn down:
