After several weeks of waiting for several of my car parts to sell, namely engines, I finally had some results.
Saturday night, someone came by, and traded me a transmission that I needed, for my smallest engine. Yesterday, someone bought the old Camaro engine for 150$. Which is about 3 times what it's really worth, but he thought it was the greatest thing ever, so whatever.
My largest engine, from the Mustang, is pending sale, depending on whether the guy can figure out if he can come over or not.
As a little background, I've had about 10 or so potential buyers for all these engines, and all of them have flaked out for some reason or another. Even had someone buy one on eBay, only to never hear from the dude again. It's 400$. It's not like it's the most expensive thing in the world, and I even gave him a month to come up with the money. Insert random angry threats here.
So, I opened a dispute on eBay, because I want some of my listing fees back, and gave him some negative feedback.
That aside, it still left me with a 500lb engine that's taking up space in my garage. So, hopefully, I can get rid of it, as well as a few other miscellaneous things. Dad came by, and gave me some spectacular shelf things, which help organize a lot of the stuff, but I still have 5 cars worth of parts.
On the plus side, I have more room now. Made 150$, and got the transmission that I needed. I would have had the engine installed in the Mustang by now, but I need two pieces, that are the size of a business card. But no one has them right now, except one place, and they're $250. Bah.
That's got the Mustang on hold for the moment, until I can find another source of these thingies. After that, I'll bolt up the tranny, put the engine in, hookup everything that I can, then take it over to a car restoration place, for them to fix a few of the things that I don't know how to do. Such as why the hood won't lock when I close it. o.0 Pictures of me doing crazy burnouts and donuts as I wildly attempt to control my car; soon to come ^_^
But in the meantime, here's a little fella that was watching me as I tinkered away on my cars:
