We've let go our midwives and are receiving a refund for what we've overpaid.
We're having an unassisted birthing experience, and we're both thrilled about it!
I realize there are many people who want, and will want, to talk us out of this, but.... it's doesn't matter.

Heh, define "normal." In truth, I think women wouldn't feel so compelled to break free from the health care system if the system were more flexible, accessible, and woman-friendly. But no one can make you do anything in the end, you get to call the shots, and you get to take responsibility for as little or as much of the experience as you see fit. Good luck!

I would totally do UC, but my husband is very nervous and scared, since this is our first, and he is insisting on being in the hospital :(
