Reckless Abandon...(Archived from MySpace bulletin/blog post)

See that new default pic I put up...hopefully it has set the mood for what I'm about to post.

I've got two new folders up in my pics and one consists of this abandoned building I explored whereas the other one (which will be updated semi-regularly) consists of pictures I've taken just walking around town. Not much now but I expect it to grow.

Yeah...urban exploring. Fun times to be had on a frozen night. The cold was effective enough inside but, upon leaving the place, my mental thought stuck mainly to "Holy fuck my hands are freezing".

I think I took somewhere around 200 pictures from inside the place...half of which I deleted due to my many angles of varying things. It was too dark in there for me to even see what I was taking pictures of but, once the flash went off, the pictures revealed great detail. Mainly from taking so many different pictures I've gained some insight as to how to compose a photograph...see what works and what not.

Another attribution to my lack of sight while in the place stems from having to shield the camera light, at most times, from shining outwards. You see cops park at Hood Park and since cops like to drive around and since Hood Park is practically across the street from the place (somewhat), they could be passing the house often. The one thing they don't want to see is some bright flash coming through one of the windows while they drive pass.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this piece of morbid modern archeology. Hopefully, with all that snow, you'll be able to spend some time inside and waste a portion of that on my silly photos.
