Annulus

I just wanted to say that today was like a microcosm of this year in terms of expectations and results. I got a little farther, sure, but I find myself in another albeit much smaller annulus. Waiting, waiting, waiting.

I have nothing special to add other than if I don't write those fucking essays like I said I would, I - honestly, what? What else is there for me to do?
