i think it's great that you are trying to deal with your emotional problems in a more natural way (i've found diet, exersise and cleaning/organizing help tremendously) but on that note, i just wanted to share with you what my experience has been with my bipolar...i think that meds can be either a crutch or a cast...either you depend on them and don't work on yourself (in which case you get worse) or you can use them to help you get to a place where you can start to deal with the deeper issues instead of always the symptoms...then the more natural coping mechanisms (the healthy ones ;b) can support you without meds. ....now this is just my humble opinion. i completely understand your dislike of psychotropics. i don't much like them either.
thankyou for using the trigger warning..however..if you post pictures..put SI pic included.. or what not.. just in the future.. (that isn't stated on the info page because it's never come up until now - but i'm going to change that)
also - some people might think that posting pics of self-harm is defeating the purpose of becomming well. i, am not sure how i feel. if it makes you feel better to show people what you've done - i feel that that is a topic that we'd like to discuss here in neurotic_bettys... i thrive on what people think about how humanity feels,thinks,acts. i don't always agree with therapists.. and then there are other times where i think i'd die without my therapist. i respect your wanting to heal with natural remedies.. i wish i could do the same.
