My Mother
Hello, everyone!
I’m Bridget. I have essential tremor, but I’m not joining solely for myself. My mother has cervical dystonia and essential tremor, though her tremor is much worse than mine. She is currently receiving botox treatments to help the dystonia. From what I can tell the effectiveness of the botox shots is waning over time. She was going to get some sort of brain surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, but for some reasons (I’m not clear on the subject) she could not go through with it.
I know that tremors are very frustrating for me and extremely frustrating for her. Do any of you know of any over the counter treatment that could help ease tremors?
I’m going to see if I can hook her up with an LJ so that she can be a part of this group. I think she could really use support.
