I never thought I would get clucky again but Heff is so adorable! Yay for lanky babies! Jordan is 10 and only 1 foot shorter than me! I am so jealous of your big house. I decided I was never going to get out of here so have put my name down on the housing list. Something I really didnt want to do but needs must. I have been enjoying myself with clubbing lately so you are missing out on those posts!! (I am sure you will live though) but I really miss you around the place.

About your mood swings, you probably have a touch of PND. Your docot will probably put you on pills if you bring it up, which I dont always think is the answer (although I am no doctor) but he might be able to suggest other ways of combating it if you dont want pills. I hope you work through it, whatever it is that is making you feel like that xx

I wish he had a bit more chunk on him, I'd feel less like I was going to break him then :)

I remember a post from a while back about you clubbing, and hoping in a taxi to god knows where at a silly time at night. I try so hard to keep up but I've been so busy between looking after the baby, moving house and sewing my brains out that the internet has been the last thing on my mind!

The doctor was great, said I did have PND and gave me a list of things to do to cope with it, one of which was eating more chocolate - yay! another was exercising for 30 minutes a day - boo :(

Your doctor advised you to eat chocolate as a way of combating PND? Thats an...er... interesting idea! I have to say, personally speaking, exercise is a FANTASTIC way of boosting the mood. I can go to the gym feeling on the verge of suicide and 2 days later I am on top of the world!

Got in a taxi in the middle of the night? I don't remember that! Was that recently or years ago? We jumped in a taxi to get away from some chav guys the other week but just went back to my friends.

it's so good to hear from you again! I was wondering how the family was doing :) Declan has grown so much since the last time we saw pics of him and he's so adorable!!! He looks alot like Dan in my opinion... but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :P Also, I'm sure that you're still as beautiful as ever, so don't stress too much about the weight... it'll go in its own time *hugs*

He's the spit out of Dan's mouth, I'm not even sure if I was there at the conception, the best that anyone has come up with is that he has my hands!

It sounds to me like you have a little post-partum depression as well. I think you should definitely bring it up to the doctor. If meds are suggested, ask about options. There's a long, informative article about it in Mothering magazine this month if you can get your hands on one.

I had a check in Borders and couldn't spot it. He did say that I had PND and has given me a list of things to do to help it, changing my diet, exercise and some meditation tips. the visit was actually really good, I'd worked myself up into so much of a stress about it that I was actually surprised how good it felt once I'd spoken to someone about how I was feeling.

Hey Fern, wow, Declan is beautiful! I feel a bit clucky looking at him, lol. I would bring up the mood swings and if you have to go on meds and feel a bit better, then so be it. My grandmother has been on anti-depressants since February and they have worked wonders for her. She handles everything so well, where- as before she would spazz out at the drop of a hat if ANYTHING didn't go excactly right. She's so easy going now. I don't think they're the answer for everything, but PND is clearly mostly hormonal, so if you can regulate your moods with a pill until your body settles down so you can enjoy this time with your baby as much as possible, I don't see why not. Obviously if your mood swings are situational, a pill is not going to fix the problems that need addressing in your life, but it just sounds like you're having a bit of trouble coping and adjusting to a HUGE change (can't think of a bigger life change, actually) and your body is still haywire. I would bring it up to the doc. Good luck. And more pix of the chubbah plz!!! :)

I have two weeks using other methods and if they don't improve then I'm meant to go back to him, I know it sounds ridiculous but last time I was on antidepressants I piled on weight and I really want to avoid that, and there aren't all that many pills that will work with me breastfeeding as well. I've still been up and down the last few days but time will tell :)

If he'll stop screeching for a few minutes then I'll snap some pictures of him but he's been feral the last couple of days!

Awwwwwww he is gorgeous, I'm loving the tarzan pants!!

I'd talk to the doctor about your mood, it could be a touch of PND, I suffered a bit after Katie arrived and anti-d's really helped!

As for me? Well, I've gone back to single life.

That's one of my favourite nappies, he just looks so damn cute in it!

So I read, sorry babe, but it's good that you're doing what's best for you and Katie with a clear head, you really don't deserve what you've been through :(
